Like the Abu the 300X comes mounted on a Berkley Lightning Rod, which also has a real working reel seat. These outfits come tied down in protective plastic cases, the bottom and top of these cases pop out and connect to one another forming the base for the stand, while a Sand Spike then attaches to form a holding arm.
